The Art Institutes Bonnaroo Student Studio 2011 is presenting a project in collaboration with the Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival. Several students from well-known art and design schools are going to produce projects on the areas of; media art, fashion, culinary, and design. The Festival will be showing up 15 very amazing and creative projects around the areas mentioned above and students will be presenting their creation and introducing their ideas to the real world .
Five fashion students from The Art Institutes School of Portland created a collection of clothes with an eco-friendly theme, and staged the first fashion show ever in the Bonnaroo festivals history. The five-student fashion team includes: Germaine Barnard, China Hamilton, Hayley Fexer, Devon Burrus and Nancy Simon.
“It’s experimental design that makes a statement The students wanted to provide eco-conscious fashion options that people would want to wear and didn’t look too plain or frumpy,” said Sue Bonde, department director of fashion programs at The Art Institute of Portland.
The Art Institutes is a collaboration of 45 educations located all over US. The focus of the organization is to provide an important source for design, media arts, fashion and culinary arts professionals
